Hospital Emergency Clinical Ward
10th Military Research Hospital and Policlinic, Independent Public Healthcare Centre in Bydgoszcz implemented a project no. WND-POIS.12.01.00-00-353/08 “Purchase of medical equipment for Hospital Emergency Clinical Ward of the 10th Military Research Hospital and Policlinic, Independent Public Healthcare Centre in Bydgoszcz” as part of the Priority 12: “Health, safety and improvement of health protection system”, Operational Programme “Infrastructure and Environment”, Action 21.1 “Development of emergency medical services”
The co-funding contract was signed on 15.10.2010. The project was implemented by 31 October 2011 as stipulated in the contract.
Two tenders were held as part of the project, resulting in 17 contracts for delivery of medical equipment and devices to the Hospital Emergency Clinical Ward, i.e.:

- Medical trolleys – 10 items
- Drainage unit – 10 items
- Vacuum mattress – 2 items
- Critical care analyser – 1 item
- Mobile ultrasound scanner – 1 item
- Bronchofiberscope – 1 item
- Biphasic defibrillator – 2 items
- AED defibrillator – 2 items
- ECG device – 2 items
- Infusion pump – 5 items
- Pulse oximeter – 5 items
- Stationary respirator – 1 item
- Patient heating system – 2 item
- X ray unit, C arm – 1 item
- CPR chest compression device – 2 items
- Nebulizer – 2 items
- Bag valve mask – 6 items
- Mechanical suction unit – 2 items
- Bag valve mask for children – 2 items
- Face masks – 50 items
- Reducer connecting oxygen cylinder with oxygen receivers – 2 item

Total project value was PLN 1,629,007.38, including:
- co-funding from the European Fund for Regional Development – PLN 1,351,579.84
- co-funding by the Ministry of Health – PLN 238,514.07
- hospital’s own funds – PLN 38,913.47
The project is aimed directly to facilitate life-saving services, taking account of applicable standards and legal requirements. In a broader sense, the project is intended to reduce mortality, trauma complications and other sudden life-threatening conditions.
The main beneficiaries of the project are the Applicant’s patients, i.e. mainly residents of the kujawsko-pomorskie province and casualties involved in road accidents and other random life- or health-threatening incidents within the operating area of the 10th Military Research Hospital and Policlinic, Independent Public Healthcare Centre in Bydgoszcz.
Other target recipients are:
- employees of the Hospital Emergency Clinical Ward,
- representatives of other healthcare units cooperating with the 10th Military Research Hospital and Policlinic in Bydgoszcz,
- medical students in the region,
- other hospital personnel.
